Weld Hall, Holderness School

The Hall is used for numerous reasons and provides the school with multiple necessities for the students. The main use of Weld is its dining room. Though it is certainly not limited to strictly food use. The faculty lounge is located in the Hall as well as the School Store, Snack Bar, and the students' Game/Entertainment Room. The Day students are also provided with day lockers and a lounge for both boys and girls, each solely for the use of non-boarding students.

The Faculty Lounge

Faculty Lounge is used often for teacher meetings and commonly hosts school sponsored speakers for faculty only presentations. Nightly there is tea and coffee set out to invite students and teachers for evening social time. This room also serves as a quiet place for students to study with a tutor during study hours.

Students are fed multiple course meals three times a day.

Weld Dining Hall

The Dining Hall is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and is always available for students to use at their own convenience. In the Fall the entire student body and faculty dine together, four nights a week, at what is called, "The Family Style Dinners." The formal dinner arrangements allow for students to interact with everybody and it urges a strong sense of "family" upon our community by randomly assigning students to different tables each week with different teachers.

Weld Downstairs

The downstairs of Weld is where most of the foot traffic takes place. It is home to the Day Boys and Day Girls Locker rooms/lounges, as well as the Snack Bar and School Store. There are two computers, ping pong tables, a pool table, and a big Screen TV with a comfy couch!
